"I am a WWII vet planning to attend, God willing. I know the flight is supposed to be free to me, but I'm sending a check for my share of the estimated cost in the hope that it will enable a family member to accompany some vet who otherwise would not be able to make the trip. I was an Army paratrooper who came out of the war unscathed and, as far as I know, undamaged psychologically. I want to help some other vet who was not so lucky as I." |
